Margaret Sampson
Sampson, Margaret Viola, 64, of Pictou formerly of New Glasgow died surrounded by family on October 30, 2017 at the Aberdeen Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Sydney she was a daughter of Edwina (MacDonald) MacLeod and the late George MacLeod.
She dedicated her life to being a loving mother and grandmother to her 5 beautiful grandkids. She was deeply devoted to her church. ‘Margie’ had an inquisitive mind, devouring books and tapes, and writing daily in her journal. She had an incredible talent for picking up any instrument and learning to play it by ear; she especially enjoyed playing her guitars. She is survived by her daughters: Danielle (Stephanie), Jacqueline (Sarah); 5 grand children: Jasmine, Alicia, Julie, Amber and Jade; her brothers and sisters: Cheryl (Blair), Brenda (Joey), Wallace (Cathy) and Alexander (Lillian); as well as many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for their compassionate support over the years.
Visitation will be from 10-11am on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Abercrombie Road, New Glasgow New Glasgow followed by funeral services at 11am with Stephen MacDonald presiding. A reception will follow the service.
Burial will be in Framboise, Cape Breton at the Framboise Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 3:30pm. Donations in her memory can be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
