COTTREAU, Ronald Edward “Ronnie” – The family of Ronnie Cottreau, 56, Wedgeport, regretfully announce his passing on Thursday, November 2, 2017. He was born March 6, 1961 to Arthur and Annie Cottreau. A labourer, he worked for the past three decades at Wm. R. Murphy Fisheries in a variety of roles. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Ronnie was survived by his children, Jeremy Cottreau and Janna (James) Stoddart, both of Wedgeport and Angela (Terry) Saulnier, Digby; his grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor and Sam as well as by his mother, Annie and sisters, Florence (Gilles) Verret and Joyce (Delbert) Cottreau, all of Wedgeport; Bertha (Albert) Surette, Abram’s River and brothers, John B. (Susan) Cottreau, Eldon Cottreau, both of Wedgeport and Dean Cottreau, Bridgewater, as well as by his former wife, Carrie Boudreau, Wedgeport. Aside from his father Arthur, he was predeceased by a brother Nil in infancy. Visitation took place from 7-9 Monday with prayers at 8 p.m., both at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport. A funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 6, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiating. Interment took place in the parish cemetery. Flowers were welcome.
