WEAR, Evelyn Rose
July 21, 1940 – Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - October 29, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta, Evelyn Wear (nee Kernisky) of Calgary passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the age of 77 years. Born in Northern Saskatchewan in 1940, Evelyn and her parents moved to Calgary in 1952. She graduated from Crescent Heights High School. Evelyn met her husband Walter “Butch” Wear (a member of the Lord Strathcona Horse) and together they explored the world with their two sons before settling down in Calgary in 1970. She was a loving wife, loving mother and caring friend to all who needed her. Evelyn is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Michael and Mary Ann; numerous extended family and friends. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Butch in 1989; her father Marion in 1970; and her mother Josephine in 1960. Memorial Services were held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. Reception followed at the funeral home.
