Christopher Andrew Baxter

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear son, Christopher Andrew Baxter, age 22.
He was an amazing young man with an infectious laugh and beautiful smile. He could light up a room as soon as he walked in. He loved his family with all his heart and couldn’t wait to come home for family get togethers.
He had so many friends and he loved each and every one of you. Samantha, you were his best friend and the love of his life.
He loved sports and played many, but his favorite was hockey. (Go Habs!) In his early years, Chris played both minor hockey and Little League baseball. He was an avid snowboarder and skateboarder. He was appointed to the Youth Advisory Council, Town of Amherst, and was instrumental in the planning and successful development of the Amherst Skateboard Park. Chris was a graduate of ARHS and later attended NSCC Waterfront, Halifax.
He was employed at Canadian Tire in Halifax at the time of his passing. He loved his job and the many friends he made there.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Carlton Baxter.
He is survived by his parents, Peter and Tammy; grandparents – Adrienne Baxter-Tingley, Bonnie MacKay, Gary
Jackson, and Jerry Hebert (Sharon); Aunts – Grace Jarvis (Dave) and Elizabeth Baxter; Uncles – Bruce Baxter and Daniel Walker; closest cousins – Leah Leroux (Ryan) and Dan McManaman (Jenny), Natasha (Dave) and Jordan Jarvis and many special aunts, uncles, and extended family. He will be deeply missed by his
pug, Cosmo.
Visitation for Christopher was held on Monday, October 30th, 2017 from 2:00 pm until funeral service at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Amherst with Rev. Don Miller officiating. Interment followed in the Amherst Cemetery.
