Karen Blanche Cronk
November 27, 1947 – November 8, 2017

Karen Blanche Cronk, age 69, passed away peacefully of cancer, at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK on Wed., Nov. 8, 2017. She was surrounded by loved ones. Born Nov. 27, 1947, in Saskatoon, SK, she lived in Shellbrook and Kindersley before settling in Prince Albert. She worked as a bank teller, and later, at the Salvation Army. It was also at the beginning that she felt the tug of selling items that are of help to people and she got into Amway. Karen then took a big step of faith and opened 2nd Chance Ministries, situated on Central Avenue, where she spent many years feeding, clothing and spiritually caring for the street people. In retirement Karen, an entrepreneur at heart, picked up where she left off those many years ago and started selling various medical devices and essential oil products. She will be remembered as a passionate member of the church, avid gardener, and a selfless and loved member of the community. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Alvin; her daughter Corinna (Walter) Smith and their children Phillip and Cinderell; her son Gordon Cronk (Rosanna Decker) and their children Erica and Maximilion; her brothers Gary (Beverley) Snyder and Glen Snyder as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Karen was preceded by her parents Kenneth and Phyllis (nee Stefaniuk) Snyder. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Tue., Nov. 14, 2017, at the Scarborough Baptist Church, 2650-6th Ave East, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Rob Jackson and Pastor Gerry Wortman officiating. Interment will be held at the South Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Karen’s memory may be directed to the Scarborough Baptist Church or Prince Albert Victory Church.
