Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, Major William Robert French of Coley's Point, aged 86 years. Predeceased by his parents: William (Mary Emma) French - nee Bishop; sister Nellie Pike; brother-in-law Gordon Stoyles; sister-in-law Bernice Bishop. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Major Elizabeth Louise French (nee Rideout); son Wade (Anne); daughter Angela (Stephen); brothers: Wilson (Margaret) Bishop and Allan Bishop; sister Daisy Stoyles; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Resting at Moore's Funeral Home, Bay Roberts with visitation on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, 7 - 9 PM; Thursday, 10 - 12 Noon, 2 - 5 PM, 7 - 9 PM. Funeral service to take place on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Salvation Army Citadel, Bay Roberts with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Coley's Point.
