PLYMOUTH – Elizabeth Rachel ‘Lib’ Majcan ‘Gram in the Woods’, 86, Plymouth, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, Wednesday November 15, 2017, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by her loving family holding two of her granddaughter’s hands.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late George and Rachel (Rogers) Livingstone.
Elizabeth enjoyed hanging out with her girls for dinner dates, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, visits from her neighbors, watching her hummingbirds.
Surviving are daughter, Linda (Mike) Spears, Stellarton; sons, Ernest Jr. (Marjorie), New Glasgow; John (Roslyn), PE; grandchildren: Michael (Lori-Ann) Spears, Michelle (Alan) Caldwell, Pamela (Darrell) Majcan, Jonathan Spears, Rachel (Colt) Majcan, Ernie III, Joshua, Jacob and Christopher Majcan; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Taylor, Max, Zoey, Braxten, Easton, Callie; sister, Barbara (Vernon) Burns; brothers, Dave (Sharon) Livingstone, Robert (Irene) Livingstone; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband and soulmate, Ernest Paul Sr., granddaughter, Jennifer; brothers, Chesley, Jim and John Livingstone.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Saturday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel with Father Peter MacDonald presiding. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
