JACOB 'JACK' NISSEN

It is with great sadness that we the family of Jacob Nissen, Sydney Forks announce his passing at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on November 14, 2017. He was the son of the Late Lauritz & Helene (Schmidt) Nissen.
He is survived by his children, Marilyn (Paul) Young, Phyllis (Marty) Kowalczyk, Wayne (Joanne), Lorne and grandchildren, Melissa, Jacob (Sara), Alex (Jay), Emily (Jesse). He is also survived by nephew, Freeman Sawler; great-nephew, Derrick (Annette) Sawler and great-niece, Michelle (Bruce) Doyle.
Besides his parents, Jacob was predeceased by his sister, Dorothea Sawler, and his wife, Lois (Slack); as well as his friend Rita Westhaver.
As per Dad’s request there will be no visitation. Celebration of Life will be held at Chant’s Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra Street, on Saturday November 18, 2017 at 11 a.m., with reception to follow and burial at a later date. No flowers by request.
