Nicholson, Kathleen Beryl, 93 of London, Ontario formerly of Stellarton passed away November 12, 2017 in London, Ontario.
Born in Stellarton she was a daughter of the late George and Sarah (Hudson) Stewart.
Kathleen was a resident of London for the past 16 years having previously resided in Stellarton for many years where she was a member of Christ Anglican Church. She was a retired employee of the Valley View Villa in Riverton, as well an avid salt and pepper shaker collector.
She is survived by sons: Garfield “Gus” (Alice), Stellarton; Stephen (Cathy), Westville; Tommy (Denise), Edmonton; daughters: Lecetta Stewart (Allan), Ontario; Romaine (Hector) MacKinnon, Westville; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, son-in-law, Wilfred Pettipas, Ottawa; a sister, Elizabeth Green, Stellarton; a sister-in-law, Margaret Stewart, Stellarton.
She was predeceased by her husband Bain Nicholson, daughters Diane Pettipas, Sandra, a son Carl, her companion Leslie MacNeil, sisters: Lillian Thistle, Thelma Williams; brothers: Garfield Stewart, Raymond Stewart, Maitland Stewart and Gordon Stewart, a brother-in-law Bill Green.
Cremation has taken place in Ontario.
Visitation and a memorial service for Kathleen will be held in July.
Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Kathleen may be made to ALS Society of Canada or to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
Arrangements are under the direction of the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton.
