ATCHISON, Florence (née Kennedy) - A Life Well Lived Mrs. Florence Margaret Atchison at Sandfield Place, Cornwall on November 25, 2017 in her 104th year. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Charles Atchison. Cherished mother of Robert (Wendy), Jack (Valoree), Garry (Penny), Margaret (Peggy) Tremblay (Brian) and Kevin (Susan). Predeceased by her precious daughter Sharon Elizabeth Gallinger (late Tim). Special aunt to Donald Kennedy. Much loved grandmother to 13 grandchildren; Dana, David, Stephen, Wendy, Tyson, Leigh-Ann, Jason, Trevor, Shonna, Colleen, Tyler, Mary and Krista and 20 great grandchildren; Keely, Brigid, Rebecca, Hannah, Owen, Olivia, Morgan, Nathan, Reese, Gavin, Camden, Allie, Emma, Laila, Jana, Emmett, Parker, Samuel, Aisley and Ethan. Due to Mom’s longevity her grandchildren and great grandchildren were blessed to know her and experience her love and wisdom. That love was returned in abundance. Her name is proudly carried forward in the next generations. Also predeceased by her parents Alex and Margaret (Cameron) Kennedy and siblings Sarah Pilon (late Louis), Anna McCrimmon (late Melville), Margaret McDonell (late William), John D. (late Rita), Mary Delaney (late Lloyd) and Angus (late Bernice). Mother held a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her faith, quiet fortitude, kindness, gentle mannerisms and her welcoming nature. A gift to us all, she will be missed. Resting at the WILSON FUNERAL HOME 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall where visitation will be held on Tuesday November 28, 2017 from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated in St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Rite of Committal at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery, Cornwall. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to CHEO or Hospice Cornwall.
