Joyce Alexis Farrell

It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the peaceful passing of Joyce Alexis Farrell on November 22, 2017 at Colchester Hospital in Truro. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Frances (Nordine) Farrell.
Joyce was a caring person who took interest in the lives she touched. Until falling ill, she enjoyed her work with Mi-kmaq Family and Children’s Services. Joyce enjoyed playing darts at the local legion, spending time with relatives, and caring for her furkids including her companion, Tuxedo.
Joyce is predeceased by parents, Patrick (Pat) Farrell and Frances Farrell. She is survived by siblings, Patrick (Paula), Janet and Sue Anne, as well as nephew Matthew and nieces, Hollie (Chris), Jennifer and Jillian (Justin).
Visitation will be held Thursday from 12-2 with memorial service following at 2 at S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home located at 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. The interment for family will occur after.
Donations may be made in Joyce’s memory to The Lodge that Gives, South Street, Halifax.
