It is with great sadness that the families of Julie Smith (nee Anstey) announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, on Sunday, December 3rd, 2017, at the age of 67 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children; Bill (Sarah), and Toni (Shannon), her grandchildren; Xavier, Billie, Brady, Maximus, Benjamin, and Bailey, her siblings; Ena (Ray) Lewis, John (Maureen) Anstey, Eugene (Bonnie) Anstey, and Melvin (Patsy) Anstey. Julie was predeceased by her parents; Verna and William Anstey. Julie also leaving to mourn her special friend Susan (Donald) Bailey, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Tuesday, December 5th, 2017 from the hours of 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 6th, 2017, at 2:00 pm at The Salvation Army Church, in Deer Lake, NL, with Major Henry Bingle officiating. And then Keeping with Julie's wishes cremation to follow and a burial at a later date. Flowers and or donations can be made to the A.L.S Society and or the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliatives care unit in Julie's memory would be gratefully appreciated by the families.
