OLIVER, John (March 11, 1930-April 29, 2011) — Passed peacefully away at Bonavista Hospital on Friday, April 29th, 2011, John Oliver of Pouch Cove, age 81 years. Leaving to mourn, with heavy hearts, his wife Kay, Daughter Gail and husband Joe Greene, Sons John and wife Ann Marie Vaughan, Philip and wife Jo-Anne, three precious granddaughters, whom he adored, Nancy and Katie Greene and Kathleen Oliver. Also leaving to mourn Brother Pat (Rita), Sisters Lena and Alice (Gerald Murray, deceased) as well as nieces, nephews and close friends. Predeceased by his sister Ellen Whiteway. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Mazin Rassam, nursing and support staff at the Bonavista Hospital for their caring and kindness shown during this difficult time. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay. Visitation Saturday 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place from St. Agnes Church, Pouch Cove on Monday, May 2nd, 2011 at 3 p.m. with interment to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery. Flowers greatly accepted or donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Society in his memory.
