Terence “Terry” Receveur passed away peacefully with family by his side at Stanford Place, Parksville B.C. He was predeceased by daughter Melody in 2003, and Yvette, his loving wife of 67 years, in May of 2017. He was a loyal husband and father, a stalwart member of his church, and an all around good and gentle man. A farm boy transplanted from Saskatchewan, Terry moved his family to Port Alberni in 1955. He was employed in the mechanical trades and was well known around town as ‘the man on the blue tractor’ with his small garden and landscaping business. He and Yvette retired in Parksville and enjoyed their later years traveling in their motorhome. Terry was a gifted ‘fix-it’ man. If it broke, he could make it work again. Throughout his life, he used his talents and passions at home, in his shop, and ‘out at the lake’ to enhance the lives of his family and all who knew him.
Terence is survived by sons Terry, Ron, Ken and Robin, daughter Darlene, his brother Jerry, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
