THÉRIAULT, CLAUDE - Born in Bathurst, NB, passed away at home in Carp, ON Friday, April 29, 2011 at the age of 59. Beloved husband of Dr. Phyllis Dalley. Devoted father of Émilie
(Thériault) LeBlanc. Dearly loved Pépére of Alexandre and Zachary LeBlanc. Loving son of Rita (Dugas) and the late Edgar Thériault. Dedicated brother of Yvette, Jean, Irène (Noël), Émile and the late Paul Thériault. An artist and graphic and web designer, Claude had served as President of the Canadian Artist Representative, the Canadian president of the International Association of Art, President of the Centre d’arts visuels de l’Alberta and Vice-President of the Société culturelle régionale Les Chutes (Grand-Falls, NB). He was instrumental to the foundation of the Gallerie Sans Nom of Moncton, NB, and of the Gallerie PAVA of Edmonton, AB. He was professor at the Université de Moncton from 1977 to 1994.
Friends may call at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington St., Carp on Thursday, May 5th from 1 p.m. until time of service to celebrate Claude's life at 3 p.m. Bright coloured clothing to be worn by request.
