It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our precious Mother on Friday, December 8, 2017 on her 80th birthday at the Bell Island Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Andrew, son Andy, son-in-law Berkley Diamond, brothers Bill, Mike, Pat and Vince, sisters Emma and Mary and special niece Marie Singleton. Leaving to mourn are her daughters Betty Martell (Stevie), PEI, Peggy Kent (Charlie), Jean Fowler (Bill), Mary Rees (Clyde), Annie (Glenn), Theresa (Hubie), Cathy Diamond, her sons Eugene (Blanche) Cambridge, Billy (Judy) Cambridge, Edward and Joey (Sheryl). Loved and forever remembered by her 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and a very special great-niece Joann Singleton as well as a very large circle of friends, especially her two cards buddies Pauline Boone and Sandra Curnew. A special thank you to her Home Care Worker, Georgina King for her exceptional care and friendship. A heartfelt thank you to the Staff at the Bell Island Hospital, especially Dr. Ayar & Dr. Laurie for your compassionate care. Visitation at Pendergast’s Funeral Home on Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral on Wednesday at 2 pm at St. Michael’s Parish. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Wabana Boys & Girls Club, P.O. Box 539, Bell Island.
