Bailey, Royal Harvey Bailey, age 65, of Swift Current passed away April 15, 2011 at his home in Swift Current. The memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011 from First United Church with Reverend Bonita Chad officiating. The organist was Patti McCleary. Honorary Pallbearers were all who shared in Harvey's life. The interment service took place at the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church Cemetery in Schoenfeld, Sk. Harvey is survived by his sons; Rob and his children Ryder and Tyson of Tomohawk, Ab; Jeff (Jamie) and their children Morgan Ethan and Colten of Swift Current, Sk; brothers Wes (Judy) Bailey of Cupar, Sk.; Doug (Rose) Bailey of Indian Head, Sk.; Bill (Barb) Bailey of 100 Mile House, B.C. He was predeceased by his wife Lois Bailey; parents Ernest Clifford and Edna May Bailey and a brother Ken Bailey. Harvey was born on March 21, 1946 in Indian Head. He attended school in Indian Head. He married Lois Fawcett on July 6, 1968 in Indian Head. Harvey worked at Beaver Lumber, Home Hardware and the as the general manager at Crystal Temp until retiring in December of 2002. He loved his horses and dogs and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing. Harvey will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his family and friends.
