Nellie (nee Wright) Grant

On Sunday, May 1, 2011, Nellie peacefully passed away at Marshall Gowland Manor at the age of 88.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Harold and sons, Harold Jr. and Brian. Also passed over are her brothers, Arthur and Norman and sisters, Beatrice Lamourea and Florence Ciszewski.
Nellie is survived by her loving son, Wayne and wife Lenore and daughter-in-law, Theresa Grant. Proud grandmother of Gord and Heather, Steve, Michael and Pauline and Christopher Grant. Cherished great-grandmother of Brett, Eric, Daniel, Nolan and Devon Grant.
In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may express sympathy through memorial donations to the Cancer Society or charity of one’s choice.
Friends will be received at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, N.S., on Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. and funeral services Friday, May 6 at 11 a.m.
A special thank you to the families of Allie and Mel Grant, Eldon and Kim MacDonald and Kevin and Marybeth MacDonald for all their thoughtfulness, care, help and comfort given to Nellie while she lived in Sydney.
