The death occurred peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017 of Danny Connolly, aged 53 after a courageous battle with ALS. Danny was a loving father to two beautiful girls, Kara and Molly Rose. Beloved son of Patrick and Rosalie Connolly and wonderful brother to Lisa (Kent Cox), Patti-Lynn (Mark Jenkins) and Tara (Doug Trowsdale). He was a fun-loving uncle to Kayla, Isaac, Hannah, Logan, Olivia, Sarah, Abigail and Luke. Danny will be forever missed by his family as well as an extraordinary circle of friends , especially Wendy Duffy. The love and support provided by all of you during his difficult journey with ALS was incredible. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Saturday, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours on Friday 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Society of PEI, Hospice PEI or the Provincial Palliative Care Centre.
