Franklin Wright
WRIGHT, FRANKLIN - Franklin Harry Wright of Perth-Andover passed away peacefully at the Victoria Glen Manor on May 2, 2011. Born in Carlingford, NB on April 2, 1924, he was the son of the late Harry and Lela (Morrell) Wright. Franklin leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years Muriel Wright (Campbell) and their only child Anna McNally (Allan) of Cornwallis, NS; two very special grandchildren Samuel Tompkins (Lisa) of Easton, ME, Krista McCallie of Rincon, GA; six great grandchildren Katlin, Jacob, Kaleb, Dayanaira, Anna and Kaylie; his sister Barbara Morrison of Saint John, his brother Marshall (Kay) Wright of Godrich, ON. He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers Preston and Theodore Wright. Franklin was a licensed electrician. He worked on the building of the Tobique Narrows Dam and for the Perth-Andover Power Commission for 32 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He especially loved going to Prince Edward Island and to his camp in Riley Brook with Muriel and their grandchildren. Franklin was a member of the Masonic Benjamin Lodge No. 31 of Perth-Andover. He was also a member of St. Helen's Anglican Church in Licford and was a diocesan lay reader.
Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 2 pm from the funeral home. Rev. Amanda Longmoore officiating. Interment will be in the Presbyterian Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations to St. Helen's Anglican Church or to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. There will be a Masonic Memorial Service held at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 7 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
