Mary Cromwell

CROMWELL, MARY THERESA (BOURQUE) - The passing of Mary (Bourque) Cromwell occurred on March 31, 2011 at the Trenton Memorial Hospital after a 2 year battle with cancer. Mary was born at Fredericton and was 58. She was the daughter of the late Ernest J. and Eva (Martin) Bourque of Lincoln. Mary is survived by her son Dean Spencer of Fredericton; daughter, Andrea Jade Cromwell and son, Christopher Cromwell of Trenton, Ontario; sisters, Linda (Doug) Moore of Rusagonis, Loretta (George Crews) of Maple Ridge, Gloria (Fred) White of Hanwell, and brother John (Charlena) Bourque of Coles Island; nieces Crystal and Tanya Bourque, Hollie Waddingham, Stacey White and nephews Steven White and Jared Moore. Mary was a self-employed care worker, skilled artist and crafts person. Living the last 20 years in Trenton, Ontario, and with Mary's engaging personality, she had solidly established many friendships. These friends were regularly by her side helping her deal with the last difficult times. Thanks are especially extended to Marlene, Wayne, Paul, Deborah and Natasha for their many hours and quality of life effort. Mary had a special bond with little children and over the years made loving friendships with these children and their families. She especially loved their innocence and truthfulness. Her four great grand-nieces, Celia, Charlotte, Abigail and Annabella were especially lucky to have had time with her over the last two years, during her visits 'back home'. She will be greatly missed. Mary loved to travel whenever she could, making many trips home to Fredericton over the years. While posted with her former husband at Lahr, Germany, she traveled extensively in Europe. Her latest trip, just before her illness, was a Sisters' Caribbean Cruise which delighted all.
A celebration of Mary's life was held on April 3, 2011 at the Rushnell Funeral Home, Trenton, Ontario and a celebration of Mary's life will be held at the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Lincoln on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 7:00pm.
