LANDRY, NORMAN - 1930-2011 - Norman Landry, 80, of Irishtown, passed away following a brief illness on Tuesday May 3, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital. Born on September 19, 1930 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Philippe and Sadie (Germaine) Landry. Before his retirement, Norman worked as a mechanic for Oliver Retread. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rita (LeBlanc); two daughters: Linda Roy (Gerald) of Irishtown and Joanne Stephenson of Moncton; one brother: Victor “Vi” of Newcastle, ON; one granddaughter: Alyssa; two great-grandchildren: Brandilyn and Sadie, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ralph.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of departure (10:10). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Lawrence O’Toole R.C. Church, Irishtown, on Friday May 6, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in parish cemetery.
