Peacefully at the Prince Edward Home on Saturday, December 16, 2017 of Irene Phillips (nee MacFadyen) of Charlottetown and formerly of Clyde River, age 101 years. Beloved wife of the late James Phillips and dear mother of Wayne (Valerie) Matheson. She is also survived by grandchildren Kellie Schofield, Shawn Schofield (Amanda Campbell), Kimberly Ann Keddy (Gary), Terry Sabourin (Chantel), Sean Matheson, Dylan Matheson, Breean Matheson, stepdaughter Carol Bernard, stepson Doug Phillips (Ruth), special grandson Jimmy Gauthier (Shelly); numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son David Matheson, daughter Beverly Schofield, brothers Cyrus MacFadyen, Hector MacFadyen and his sister Eva Hedley. No visitation or funeral service by personal request.
