Maurice Albert Lauzon, 58, of New Waterford passed away peacefully at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on December 19, 2017.
Born March 20, 1959 in Ottawa, he was the son of the late Maurice and Shirley (McCarthy) Lauzon.
He was employed in dry walling, but was a true musician at heart. He also loved watching movies of all genres.
Surviving are, his wife, Bernice Totten; stepdaughters, Helen, Charlene and Mandy; grandchildren, Charles, Austin, Brooklyn and Nevaeh; sisters, Cheryl Ann (Neil) Desrosiers, Jo-Anne (Mark) Coletti and Suzie (John) Moe; brother, Glenn; nieces and nephews, April, Melissa, Mark, Andrew, Cyril, Nygel, Maurice, Luke, Michael, Nicole, Dylan and Cameron; grandnieces and nephews, Autumn, Hunter, Tyler and Maci, and aunts, Rita, Catherine and Yvonne.
Visitation is Thursday from 5-8 p.m. with a chapel service following at 8 p.m. in McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford with Deacon Leo Penny officiating.
