Stuart Francis MacEwen

The death occurred at the Palliative Care Centre on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, of Stuart Francis MacEwen, St. Peter's Bay, aged 93. Born in Greenwich, PEI, he was the son of the late Earl and Hazel (Townshend) MacEwen. Survived by his loving companion Velda (Woodington), sons and daughters: Joe (Janice MacKinnon), Judi Livingston (David), David (Lisa McCarthy), Anne, Kevin (Kathy), and Patti Jenkins (Randy); grandchildren: James (Veronica Kosarew) and John Livingston (Candice Runighan); Keith (Vicki), Matt (Linsey), Jed (Terri), Josh, and Colin (Kalleigh) MacEwen; Tom and Megan MacEwen; Geoff and Laura MacEwen (Logan Rafuse); and Helena Stewart (Cody Garnhum); step-grandchildren: Lisa Newcombe (Andrew), Patrick Fraser (Katie), and Jocelyn Fraser (Bruce Rooney); great-grandchildren: Reegan, Colton, and Maddox MacEwen; Ryland, Harris, and Linden MacEwen; Hudson, Cohen, and Gavin MacEwen; and step-great-grandchildren: Malcolm and Evelyn Newcombe; and Callan Fraser; sisters-in-law: Mary Driscoll (Wilf), and Toddy Ryan (Aquinas, deceased). Predeceased by his wife Helena (Rossiter) MacEwen, and grandson Michael MacEwen; siblings: Fred (Ada), Albert (Marguerite), Mildred Chowen (Danny), and Edith Huestis (Derwin), and brothers-in-law: Jack Rossiter (Peggy) and Rev. Joseph Rossiter. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27 then to St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, St. Peter’s Bay for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 2-5 p.m. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or the Provincial Palliative Care Centre.
