Edwin “Ted” Golding passed away peacefully with his family at his side on December 20, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Home in Saskatoon, Sask. at the age of 96 years. Edwin was born on March 30, 1921 in Garthland, Sask. to Ernest and Elsie Golding. Dad married Millicent Hood on June 11, 1946 in Duck Lake, Sask. and they farmed in the MacDowall area. Dad is survived by his six children: Edwin Junior (Flo), Sharon (Dennis) Knight, Spencer (Cheryl), Curtis (Roseline), Sheryl (Wayne) Kulyk and Sheldon (Corinna). His children blessed him with sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Edwin is also survived by his sister: Doris Lenz; sisters-in-law: Margarite Roa and Cathy Golding as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Edwin was predeceased by: his wife: Millie; his parents: Ernest and Elsie; his father and mother-in-law: Harry and Lydia Hood; his siblings: Selwyn, Maurice, John, Annie and a sister in infancy; his nephew: Edward Hood and his grandson: Casey Golding. Dad’s greatest passions were his family and farming. He also enjoyed all of the children during his bus driving career. Dad also took great pride in caretaking the old and new West Central Schools. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Nursing Home for their kind and compassionate care for Dad. We would also like to thank Tracy-Lynn Lenchuk and Gray’s Funeral Chapel for their guidance and understanding at this difficult time. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 – 10:00 am at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th St. West, Prince Albert. Interment will follow in Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
