MANSON – George “Russell” passed away on August 13, 2009 in Birch Hills, SK at the age 87 years. He was born on December 18, 1921 in Weldon district, SK. Russell is survived by his wife of 64 years Olive (nee Nodeland); his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Donald (Jane), James, Jennifer (Greg Griffon); Dennis (Debbie), Rhea (Bobby) Krakowetz, Gene (Shea) Andersen, Sienna, Jersey; Harold (Marlene), Melissa (Willie) Braaten, Megan, Greg; Joy (Jean-Francois) Aussillou, Andre, Masha; Harley (Melody), Derek, Scott, Kylie; Wanda; his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Lyla Dalen; Harold (Laura) Nodeland and Judy Solstein; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Russell was predeceased by his parents Donald and Edith Manson; his brother Donald (Mary) Manson; his sisters Lottie (Jack) Welsh, Edith (John) Marshall; Dora (Avard) Weaver and Grace (Paul) Marcotte; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Ole and Lulla Nodeland; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bert (Esther) Nodeland, Bernice Zeigler and Arnold Solstein. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 2:00 PM in Birch Hills Lutheran Church with Pastor Sonje Finnestad and Pastor Rick Johnson officiating. Interment Saron Cemetery.
