The family of Carl Faber sadly announce his passing on December 21, 2017 with his wife and daughter by his side at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. Carl was born on a farm near Hague, SK on November 24, 1920. He worked on the farm with his father and after completing Grade 8, he stayed at home to help his father with the farm work. In February of 1943 he was drafted into the army and served overseas and was back home in April of 1946. In July of 1947 he married Gladys Wagner and moved to Makwa where they had purchased a farm. He loved his farm life and also was busy volunteering on many Boards, Coop, Credit Union, Hospital and Wheat Pool and also sold SGI Insurance for many years. In 1991 they had a farm auction and sold the machinery and rented the land. Time had come in 2007 to move off the farm and a move was made to Prince Albert. Over the years Carl and Gladys enjoyed 28 years in Mesa, Arizona where they made many lifelong friends. Carl was predeceased by his sons, James and Grant; his parents Carl and Anna Faber; Glady’s parents, Carl and Leah Wagner; sister Viola Born; sisters-in-law Shirley Ramsay and Hilda Hall and his grandson Wayne Babiuk.
