Coralene Gosselin passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital on December 24, 2017. Coralene was born at her parent’s farmstead on September 28, 1922 and later married Alfred Gosselin in 1942. At the young age of fifteen, she worked at John’s Nursery, as well as other local jobs. After returning from active service in the 2nd World War, Alfred and Coralene purchased a farm near Henribourg where they raised five children. After the children were grown, Coralene worked at various jobs, the longest being in excess of ten years at the Prince Albert Forest Nursery. For fifty years, she was active in both the Albertville Community Club, the Senior’s club and the Albertville Wellness Clinic and was an active member of the ladies auxiliary of the Prince Albert Legion where she spent many hours volunteering at funerals, July 1st events and Terry Fox Runs. Coralene also spent many hours visiting senior homes where she enjoyed listening to old time music and dancing with the residents as well as frequent visits to the Prince Albert Senior’s Centre. After Alfred passed away in 1989, Coralene rented an apartment in Prince Albert where she resided until her passing. One of her proudest moments of her 95 years was that of her father’s induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame. “Rusty” Crawford played in the NHL for close to twenty years during which time he won two Stanley Cups. Coralene is survived by her children Barry (Pennie) Gosselin, Barbara (Brian) Harris and Sandra Gosselin; her daughter-in-law Jeannette Gosselin; her son-in-law Bruce Faldstead; her brother Roddie Crawford; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred Gosselin; her son Judge Edward Gosselin; her daughter Elaine Falstead; her brothers Horace, Jack, Charlie and Bill Crawford and her sisters Blanche Moffat and Dorothy Gosselin. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations made be made to a Charity of Donor’s Choice. Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Margaret Ferchuk officiating.
