At the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge on Sunday, January 7, 2018, the passing of Layton Judson Campbell occurred. Born in Victoria Cross on May 6, 1926, he was the son of the late Leslie and Minnie Campbell. Layton will be missed by, Brother Homer (Mary Lou); sisters Kay (Winston) Chandler, Doris; sister-in-law Norma; niece and nephew Carolyn Steeves, Ken Robinson in whose lives he played a special role; also Austin (Mary) Campbell, Ralph Campbell, Joan (Greg) O’Reilly, Mark Chandler, Alan Chandler, Amy (Brian) Cole, Katherine (Ed) Burns, Ian (Heather) Campbell, Rob (Sandra) Campbell. Predeceased by brother Elliot; sister Muriel; niece Linda Munro. Much gratitude to Jennifer Penny and caring staff at the Gillis Lodge. Resting at the Church of Christ, Montague on Friday, January 12th with visiting from 2 o’clock until service time at 3 p.m. Interment to take place in the spring.
