Henry "Woody" Woodard
The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, January 7, 2018, of Henry “Woody” Woodard, of Summerside, aged 82 years. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late John and Jennie (Cissell) Woodard. Survived by his beloved wife Cathy (Hogg) Woodard; step-daughter Heather Woodard; daughter Joan (Gerry) Richard; son Boyd Woodard; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Agnes Woodard; sister-in-law Bernie Woodard; brother-in-law Bill Hesson; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Ada Mary (Bradford) Woodard; sons Gordon and Howard; brothers Herbert, Robert, Edward, Rayworth, Sydney, Donald and Ralph; sisters Joan Hesson and Alva Chase; and by Jean and Buddy in infancy. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Friday, at 10 a.m. Interment later in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Service of Remembrance, at the funeral home Thursday, at 4:45 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5 would be appreciated. www.moase.ca
