It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our dear aunt, Grace Genevieve Almon, age 86, on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Northside General Hospital, North Sydney.
Born at Georges River, August 27, 1931, Grace was the daughter of the late William and Annie (Young) Almon. Grace was born with a disability, her sister Liza Burt cared for Grace in her younger years. She later lived in special care homes until taking up residence at the Northside Community Guest Home in the past few years. She enjoyed visits from her nieces and nephews, her niece Laura Almon would visit her weekly, take her to bingo games, bring her treats and her cousins in Sydney, Theresa and Cecilia would visit and sometimes take her to supper which she enjoyed very much. In earlier years Grace would often walk to downtown North Sydney sometimes twice a day, stopping along the way to say hello to friends in stores and of course at her hairdressers, Step Ahead. Grace loved socializing with people and everyone loved her.
