It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew Alexander Evans, on January 5, 2018 at the age of 29. Matthew will be lovingly and forever remembered by his Mom Roberta, Dad David, sisters Melanie and Melinda, nephew Payton, Nan Sandra Evans and Al Pittman, most special Aunt Lorraine and Uncle Ted McCarthy, many aunts, uncles, cousins, a wide circle of family, friends Chris Fry and Trevor Upshall and his special four-legged girl Shyla. Matthew is welcomed into Heaven by his Pop Matthew (Matty) Evans, Nan Elizabeth Seaward and Pop Alexander Seaward where they have taken him in their arms to hold forever. Matthew was born on July 20, 1988 in St. John’s, Newfoundland as one of a very special set of triplets. Growing up, you would rarely see one without the other; they were inseparable. Matthew enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved skateboarding and hanging out with his friends – always with a laugh or a joke to tell. His laughter brought joy to those around him. When Matthew was 18, he moved to Edmonton, Alberta and made his life there. He was a hard worker with a good heart and was a good friend to many.
A church service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Holy Family Church following with a Celebration of Matthew’s life at 7 PM at the Paradise Rec Centre located at 1 Sarah Davis Way. Those who wish to do so may make a memorial donation to an Animal Rescue Group of one’s choice in honour of Matthew’s love for animals.
