Beulah Maude Phillips, formally of Gypsum Mines, passed away on Tuesday January 16, 2018 in the Haliburton Place, Windsor. She was born in Gypsum Mines on May 4, 1922 to Murray Cochrane and Aileen (Smith) Cochrane Spence. She was a long time member of the Sweets Corner United Church, a Sunday School Teacher and a C.G.I.T. Leader. She was also a long time member ot he U.C.W. Beulah’s favorite passtimes were oil painting, knitting, crossword puzzles, dancing and bowling. She is survived by her husband of 78 years, Roley Phillips of Haliburton Place; daughters Carole Ettinger of Halifax; Paulette Phillips of Montreal; Beverley (Wayne) Shanks of Upper Falmouth; Chris (James) Barker of Poplar Crove; son-in-law Steven Frizzell of Gypsum Mines; son Mark (Kathy) Phillips of Gypsum Mines; sisters Verna Fletcher of Haliburton Place; Eleanor Caldwell of Hantsport; Marion McKenzie of Richmond, BC and a brother Graham (Sally) Cochrane of Edmonton; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 7 great great-grandchildren and several step grandchildren. Beulah was predeceased by a daughter Lorraine Frizzell; son-in-law Garth Ettinger; sisters Norma Tracey; Margaret Cochrane and a brother Brian Spence. Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service by request. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
