Aaron Augustus ‘Gus’ Christmas
It is with broken hearts that the family announce the sudden passing of our loved one Aaron ‘Gus’ Christmas, 34, at home.
Gus is the son of Joyce Paul (Gordie Reid) and Alexander Christmas (Carol Mettalic).
He worked for the Membertou Band as a fisherman. He enjoyed listening to rap music. He had a great sense of humour with the ability to make anyone in a room laugh. Most notably, he adored and took great pride in his family.
Besides his parents, left to mourn are the love of his life, Shelly, and their beloved children, Anjelikah, Danikah, August, Bronson, Aaron Augustus, and son, Chase (mother, Sarah); his brothers, Derek, Todd, Alex, Storm, Jonathan, Warren and Noel; his sisters, Vicki, Alexandria, Amanda, Sasha, Shylo, Holly, Carline, LeeAnn, Cary and Raylene; his grandmother, Viola Paul; a large number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; godparents, Cecilia Christmas and Ricky Fritz (Steve), as well as godchildren, Ander Christmas and Makayla Sylliboy. He will also be missed by his friends and the 2 Live Crew, as well as his in-laws.
Gus was predeceased by his grandparents, Madeline and John Sonier, William Bernard and John William Paul; aunts, Lena, Emma, Beverly, Palma, Wanda, and brother, Dale Michael Paul.
Visitation will take place Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 5 p.m. at 9 L’nu Avenue, Membertou. Funeral will be on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Marguerite Bourgeouys Church with Fr. Bill Burke officiating. Burial to follow at Membertou Memorial Gardens.
