Shand, Donna Jeanette, 78, Truro, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at home. Born on the Hawk, Cape Sable Island, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Adria (Nickerson) Atwood.
She is survived by her husband Donald; daughters Priscilla Atkinson, Lisa Shand; sisters, Mildred Cox, Carolyn Atkinson; brothers, Warren, Raleigh.
There will be no visitation or funeral service at the present time. As per Donna’s request, her remains have been donated to Dalhousie Medical Research. Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
