It is with profound sadness that we, the family of Skye Spencer, 27, announce her passing on January 29, 2018 in Edmonton, Alberta.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of Dene Burns and Charles Spencer.
Skye loved to spend time with her children, Madyson and Kaiser exploring new playgrounds, ice skating and attending Edmonton Oilers games. She was loved by cousins, Sheena, Corrie, Douglas, Jonathan, Tamara, Cole, Devon, Jasmine, Linda, Jake, Marybeth, Rhyan, Aedhyn, Milo, Parker and Chase.
Besides her parents, Skye is survived by her children, Madyson and Kaiser; sister, Becky; step siblings, Kody, Payton and Dakota Spencer; stepfather and sister, Tony Bernard and Jessica; grandparents, Doug Burns (Violet), Lynda Burns, Charles Spencer Sr., Peter Bernard; great-grandmother, Pearl Burns; aunts, Chris Hardy (Lorne), Pat McKinnon (Leonard), Lynn Spencer Sparkles (Mel), and uncles, Troy Bernard (Tanya), Teddy Bernard.
She was predeceased by her great-grandfather, John Burns, and grandmothers, Paula Spencer and Margo Bernard.
A celebration of Skye’s life will take place 2 p.m. today in the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Donations to the SPCA in Skye’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
