SAUNDERS, Cecil “Paul” – age 85, Nictaux, Annapolis Co., passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Nictaux, he was a son of the late George W. and Ola B. (Barkhouse) Saunders. Paul had served as a member of Canadian Armed Forces and had been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No.1, Middleton. He had worked for CN, T.R.A., Thompsons Transfer and later owned and operated his own welding business. Surviving are his wife the former E. Marilyn Rawding; sister, Wyona (the late Arthur “Zeek”) Edmonds, Grand View Manor, Berwick; brother, Earle (the late Ellen) Saunders, Cambridge; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Margaret Annis; brothers, Robert & Ralph Saunders. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. Interment at a later date in Nictaux Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Nictaux Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 902-825-3448.
