At the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 the passing of Ruth A. Wight occurred at the age of 76 with loving daughter Lorraine by her side. Ruth was born in Milltown Cross on August 15, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Christina (Speed) Matheson. Survived by loving children Lorraine, Claude (Lori), Krista (Jim) McNee, Pamela, Andrew (Sheri); cherished grandchildren Donalda (Brent), Charlene, Tissy (Chris), Raelene, Thomas, Brianna, Maya, Hunter, Daniel, Carson, Owen; adored great grandchildren Gracie Ramsay, Brenda-Lynn Ramsay, Christopher Monkley; special nieces Tina, Lorna and her four legged friend Duke. Besides her parents Ruth was predeceased by brothers and sisters Walter, Claude, Effie, Donalda and Mona. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Funeral Home with visiting hours on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral service to take in the Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 11a.m. Interment to take place a later date.
