HOWES, SHIRLEY - The death of Shirley Arthur Howes, age 95, husband of the late of Marjorie (Moss) Howes, of Cambridge-Narrows, NB, occurred at the Great Oaks Special Care Home, McDonald’s Point, NB, on May 13, 2011. He was born on August 28, 1915, in Cambridge-Narrows, NB, the son of the late Elijah and Orilla (Chase) Howes. Shirley is survived by his daughters Frances Robinson of Cambridge-Narrows, NB, Sandra Kraglund of Saint John, NB, Carol Howes and Bill Cooper of Wickham, NB; daughter-in-law Daphne Howes of Saint John, NB; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Wayne and brother Frank.
He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre, (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. A Celebration of Shirley’s life, conducted by Pastor Reginald Ferris, will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011.
