It is with sadness we announce the passing of Wayne Albert Wheaton, age 68, of Amherst NS. Wayne passed peacefully at home on March 4th, 2018.
He was the son of the late Chesley and Ellen Wheaton of Amherst.
Wayne is survived by his wife Karen (Copp), one sister Deborah Jones of Winnipeg MB, two nephews Derrick and Devon Jones also of Winnippeg MB, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout Canada.
Wayne was a graduate of ARHS High School in Amherst, DeVry University in Toronto, and CDI Institute in Winnipeg. He was employed by Northern Telecom for 28 years taking him across Canada and into the United States. After Northern, he worked in upper management for C-Mac Electronics. In his later years he was employed in various call centers,
His loves were spending time with his wife, working on his iPad, his cat, and in his early years, boats and the building of them. He spent many a summer with his grandfather Otto Hatfield at his boat yard.
Wayne will be sadly missed by family and his many friends across Canada and the United States.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Campbell’s Funeral Home. There will be no services as per Waynes wishes.
