Sandra Adelle Spears – 66, Foxbrook, Pictou Co., - Passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 13th, 2018 in her home.

Born May 27th, 1951 in new Glasgow, she was the daughter of Carlene Viola (Miller) Spears and the late Donald Courtly Robert Spears.

Sandy, or Aunt San, as she was often called was a primary school teacher for 23 years. She tutored her niece throughout her education and took an avid interest in tutoring young kids who struggled with reading; making it fun. She took joy in educating children for well over 40 years. In her spare time she loved knitting and traveling when she could. She was also very passionate about scrap booking with friends and making beautiful cards.

She is very sadly missed by her mom Carlene (Miller) Spears, Foxbrook; brother Bruce (Jacqueline) Spears, Foxbrook; sister Donna (Bob) Thomas, Avonport; nieces and nephews, Tammy Spears, Eastern Passage; Carla (Spears) (Kyle) Quigley, Riverton; Richard Thomas (Shelby and great-nephew Merrick), Springhill; Victoria Thomas, Avonport; Kimberly Thomas, Avonport; Amanda Thomas, Kentville; and her uncle Alan Miller (Kelly), Fall River. Sandra will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Her family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. A service and interment will be held at a later time. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
