It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bertram Osmond announce his passing at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Monday, March 12th, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Bertram was the son of the late Philip and Margaret Osmond (nee Dicks). He was also predeceased by his son Roland Osmond; brother Gordon (Violet) Osmond; sister Irene (Clifford) Skeard; mother and father-in-law Isreal (Marie) Anderson; daughters-in-law Loretta Osmond and Minnie Osmond; step-brothers Edward (Margret) Seymour, Michael (Blanche) Seymour, William (Jessie) Seymour, Emanuel (Theresa) Osmond; step-sister Violet (Cyril) Osmond, sister-in-law Sandra Harvey; brothers-in-law John Harvey and Wilfred Ricketts. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife of 63 years Jessie (nee Anderson); sons Melvin Osmond, Wayne (Tina) Osmond, Darrell Osmond all of Port aux Basques, NL; daughter Doris (Junior) Carter of Dartmouth, NS; daughter-in-law Ruth White; sisters-in-law Winnie (Henry) Parsons of Port aux Basques, NL, Bernice (George) Keeping of Dartmouth, NS, Joyce (Dorman) Hulen of Isle aux Morts, NL, Eileen Ricketts of Port aux Basques, NL, Jane Anderson (Stuart Short) of Cape Ray, NL, Linda Harvey (Rob Ingram), Violia (Jerome) Bragg all of Port aux Basques, NL; brother-in-law Edward Harvey of Port aux Basques, NL. He also leaves behind eleven (11) grandchildren, ten (10) great-grandchildren plus a large circle of nieces, nephew and friends. Visitation took place on Tuesday, March 13th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, and on Wednesday, March 14th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc in Port aux Basques, NL. The funeral service was held on Thursday, March 15th at 2 pm from St. James Anglican Church in Port aux Basques, NL officiated by Rev. Marlene Harvey with internment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted and donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
