H. Watson Sangster

STELLARTON – H. Watson Sangster, 92, of Stellarton passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018, in Valley View Villa, Riverton.
Born in Lower New Harbour, Guysborough County, he was the son of the late Arthur Oscar and Mable Elizabeth Sangster. He was a Supervisor in the Steel Furnishing Department of MacGregor Bedding, retiring in 1987. Watson was a life member of the former Calvary Temple Church, New Glasgow, helping to construct the church. He was a faithful supporter and served on the church board and treasurer for over 20 years. He was a member of the 50 Plus Club, The Gideons International since 1965 and served as treasurer/secretary for Gideons Pictou Camp.
Surviving are daughter, Sonya Sangster, Stellarton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jean Lillian (Luddington); sisters, Genesta Uloth, Dorothy Sangster, Gertrude Sangster, June MacKay; brother, Alex.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m., Monday, March 19th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 20th with Rev. Keith Hazzard officiating. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow.
Family flowers only. Donations may be made in Watson’s memory to The Gideons International In Canada or the Pictou County SPCA.
