Cecile Louisa Parent (nee Jobin)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother on March 17, 2018 in Prince Albert. Cecile was 92 years old and passed away peacefully with family by her side. She was born to Joseph and Louisa Jobin on December 29, 1925 in Bellevue, SK. Cecile was twelfth in a family of thirteen children. She married Alfred Parent on August 15, 1946 and they moved to the family farm just outside of Hoey. Together they welcomed and and raised nine children. Mom had a very strong faith and looked for the beauty in all things. Mom believed in a strong work ethic, and enjoyed visits with family and friends, both near and far. She was a very positive, content individual and did not demand much from life. Cecile is survived by her husband: of 71 years Alfred Parent, her nine children: Rupert (Joan) Parent; Simone (Raymond) Gorieu; Paulette Clapper (Perry Gursky); Louise (Stan) Hodgson; Raymond (Bev) Parent; Albert (Judy) Parent; Doris (Lyndon) Beeds; Hubert (Janet) Parent; Ellayn (Guy) Gaudet; her 26 grandchildren: Bradley (Trisha) Parent; Kelly Parent; Paul (Marnie) Gorieu; Marceh Materi; Gilles (Courtney) Gorieu; Jason Clapper; Justin (Rebecca) Clapper; Derek (Melissa) Clapper; Dorianne (Jason) Clapper; Jeff (Jennie) Hodgson; Tammy (Jason) Gillis; Tracy (Curtis) Henderson; Hayley (Todd) Merrell; Christopher (Destiny) Parent; Marc (Dimitra) Parent; Amanda (Phil) Hounjet; Crystal (Lee) Harris; Kimberly (Mau) Parent; Brody (Jodi) Parent; Brandie Beeds; Adem Beeds; Ambure Parent; Aimey Parent; Ashleigh Gaudet; Alaisha Gaudet; Alisen Gaudet; 39 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law: Suzanne Jobin and Rita Parent; brother-in-law: Vern Studer; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
