Eleanor Pauline (Reeves) Woodworth - age 82, of Steam Mill, Kings County, died peacefully on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in New Ross on July 19, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Marguerite (McDow) Reeves and the late Charles Reeves of New Ross. She was a loving mother and adored her grandchildren. Eleanor worked at Maritime Tel & Tel, Kentville, for 33 years before her retirement in 1992. She loved to spend time at the Countway cottage with her family in her early years and at Aylesford Lake with her dear friend Muriel Todd and family later in life. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, crossword puzzles and reading. Eleanor is survived by her son, Geoffrey (Pat) Woodworth, Falmouth; grandchildren, Alicia and Kyle Woodworth, Falmouth; sisters, Vienna (Haldon) Reeves, New Ross; Doreen Gates, Ontario; sister-in-law Beatrice Reeves, New Ross. She was predeceased by her brother, Calvin Reeves. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018. Burial will take place at a later date in Christ Anglican Cemetery, New Ross. Immediate family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Shoreham Village, Chester and the nurses and particularly Dr. Anne Chiasson at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater for their care and support.
