The death occurred at his late residence in Strathmore Alberta on Sunday, March 11, 2018 of Gordon Craig Carter. Husband to Carla Carter (nee Lightfoot), and loving father to Tayler Dawn Bishop of North Sydney Nova Scotia. Born on August 31, 1979, he is the son of Esther Gillam and predeceased by his father Gordon Carter. Survived by brother Shawn “Chico” Laybolt (Michelle), and sister Kelly Carter (Todd). He will be missed by his uncles Billy Gillam (Carla), David Cater (Edna), Randy Carter (Stella), Gary Carter (Lorraine), and aunts Betty Paynter, Sheila Mahar, Jeannie Gregory, Shawna and Karen Carter, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his grandparents Kenneth and Hilda Carter; William and Marion Gillam, and special aunt Margaret Mossman. Visiting hours to be held at Dingwell Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 6-7:30 p.m. with a memorial service to be celebrated at 8 p.m. at Dingwell Funeral Home. If so desired, memorial donation can be made at the funeral home to St. Alban’s church cemetery.
