Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his grandparents Tom and Mary Williams, uncles George and Leo Williams, aunts Isabelle White, Emma Jordan, and Anita De Carlo, special cousins Perry and Tommy Williams, special friend Kevin Harvey. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his mother Alice Williams, whom he was a devoted son and caregiver for the past several years, his uncle and best friend Ambrose Williams, aunts Madonna Williams, Veronica Hynes, and Genevieve Rossite, special friends Ricky O'Brien, Jimmy O'Brien, Kevin Walsh, Barry Clowe and Elizabeth Jones, plus a large circle of family and friends. Jimmy was a proud member of the Ferryland Fire department for many years. He enjoyed his time in the woods on his bike and spending many hours throughout the day in his shed in Freshwater, where his closest friends stopped by for a chat. Jimmy was a quiet man who lived a simple life, a friend you could count on for a helping hand whenever one needed it. We are all better people for having known him. Resting at Faheys Funeral Home, Fermeuse, Thursday, March 29th from 2-9 pm. Funeral service to be held on Friday, March 30th at 11 am in Ferryland, with cremation to follow. Burial to be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ferryland Fire Department or a charity of one's choice.
