Edwards, Judith Ann “Judy”, 70 of Truro, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones on March 25th, 2018, in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Toronto, November 28, 1947, Judy was a daughter of the late Leonard and Mildred Burgess. Later moving to Nova Scotia, Judy settled down in Truro where she met the love of her life David, marrying on March 22nd, 1990. During her career, Judy worked at the Truro Provincial Court House, and was a long-time Assistant to Eleanor Norrie, Former MLA. She spent the latter of her career doing what she loved, working surrounded by plants, flowers and people at the Co-op Garden Centre. She enjoyed the outdoors, working in her garden, and loved spending time with her family and friends and pets.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, David Edwards; daughters, Shannon (Gordie) Lunn, Truro; Nicole (Kevin) Seamone, Halifax; Heidi (Scott) Marshall, North River; son, Vance Edwards, Halifax; grandchildren, Kaleigh (Ryan), Braiden, and Chloe Lunn, Quinn, Milo Seamone and Malik Burgoyne; great-grandchild Kyler MacLellan.
Besides her parents, Judy was predeceased by a sister Marilyn Scott.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro from where visitation will be 1:00 – 1:45 pm followed by funeral service at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 30th. Reverend Micah Linkletter will officiate with burial at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Colchester SPCA. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Doctors and nursing staff from the ICU Unit at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, and to dear Patti who took such good care of Judy and the family in the final moments. Special thanks to dear friends Gordon and Cathy Lewis, and Theresa and James Morris, who Judy loved as family.
