The death occurred peacefully at Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O’Leary on Saturday, April 7, 2018 of Maude Annie MacDonald, in her 105th year, wife of the late Edward MacDonald. Born on September 6, 1913 in O’Leary, last family member of late Sanford & Lillian (Raynor) Phillips. Cherished mother to Marvin (Katherine) O’Leary, Clare (Tila), Brampton ON, Carol (Bill) MacDonald, Summerside, Sandra (Robbie) Williams, Poplar Grove, Linda (Harry) Hibbs, Stratford, Barry (Mary), Summerside. Loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Maude is also survived by sister-in-laws Mary MacDonald and Martha Brooks and numerous nieces and nephews. Maude was predeceased by her parents, husband Edward (1979), infant grand-daughter Laurie Christine Hibbs and sisters Verna Vatcher (Herbie), Muriel Thompson, (Phillip), Blanche Brooks (Rev. Garland), Earle Phillips (Mae) and Waldo Phillips (Marjorie). Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral service held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the O’Leary United Church. Interment to follow in the Bethel United Church Cemetery.
